The first edition of the national competition "Visionaries of the Regions" has started„

Manager magazine, under the auspices of the Ministry of Economy, Investments and Industry, launches the first edition of the national competition „"Visionaries of the Regions"“. The initiative aims to identify and publicize businesses, organizations and individuals with a key role in economic growth, social sustainability and regional development in Bulgaria.. The Ruse Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) supports the project as an official institutional partner., driven by the understanding that the North Central region has proven potential, innovative enterprises and leadership capital that should be represented at the national level.

Segmentation and participation categories

The competition program covers 7 economic regions. North Central Region includes the districts of Ruse, Veliko Tarnovo, Gabrovo, Razgrad and Silistra. The evaluation will be carried out by an independent jury composed of established experts in the fields of economics, business, academia and the civil sector.. The official award ceremony will take place in January 2027.

Applications are accepted in the following five categories::

• Business visionary: For companies with a sustainable economic profile that generate employment, realize investments and stimulate local supply chains.
• Social impact: For initiatives with measurable impact in the areas of education, environmental protection, healthcare and social activities.
• Cultural development: For organizations and entities that preserve and develop cultural infrastructure and local heritage.
• Family business: For businesses demonstrating continuity, an effective management model and long-term commitment to the regional economy.
• Local Hero: Category for individual participants with proven personal contribution and an active role in the development of the local community.

The evaluation methodology is based on measurability of the achieved results, innovativeness of the implemented solutions, sustainability of the business model and long-term strategic vision.. Nominations can be submitted independently by candidates or by third parties – business partners, industry organizations and institutions..

The active participation of companies and organizations from Ruse District and the North Central Region in "Visionaries of the Regions" is essential for the positioning of the region as a competitive industrial and innovation center. Inclusion in the competition provides participants with strategic visibility on a national scale, institutional recognition and opportunities to build new partnership networks with leading business entities in the country. RCCI appeals to representatives of the business and public sector in the region to take advantage of the opportunity to declare their achievements.
