Trakia Economic Zone EAD

Trakia Economic Zone (TIZ) EAD is a key factor in the development of the city of Plovdiv and the region, which leads to significant success in attracting foreign direct investment. Thanks to the achievements of TIZ, Plovdiv took first place in the ranking "European cities of the future 2018/2019" of the authoritative British publication "Financial Times". The region of Plovdiv ranks fourth in the ranking, establishing itself as a leading investment destination in Europe. Since its establishment in 1996, TIZ has constantly expanded its influence and in 2017 included the municipalities of Burgas and Haskovo.

TIZ offers six industrial zones, including "Maritsa", "Rakovski", "Kuklen", "Innovation Park", "Plovdiv" and "Agro Park Kaloyanovo", suitable for small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as for established large companies. TIZ has been honored with numerous awards, including "First industrial zone in Bulgaria - model for public-private partnership" and "First district in Bulgaria for priority support from the state". TIZ's program for sustainable development is part of the "Innovation Plan for the Plovdiv Region 2017-2020", which further emphasizes its role as a driver of economic growth and innovation in the region.
