"INTERTRADE - BULGARIA - ENGLAND - IRELAND" project
Duration: 1 July, 2001 – 14 April, 2002
General objective of the project: Studying the possibilities of establishing inter-company cooperation of the companies from the RTIC region, Mid-Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce and Industry - Great Britain and the Chamber of Commerce - Dublin, Ireland. This project is implemented in the three regions. In each region, companies were surveyed in order to select those that have potential and interest in establishing inter-company connections. The designated Bulgarian companies were visited by a team of partners and after getting to know each company individually, the colleagues from the Mid-Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Dublin Chamber of Commerce and Industry - disseminated information about the interests of the Bulgarian companies.
Achieved results:
- Established new partnership relations between the companies from Bulgaria, England and Ireland for the export of the products produced by them;
- Transfer of experience from the Free Zone - Shannon, Ireland, on the creation of regional funds for the development and support of start-up businesses and management and development agencies;
- Transfer experience from Dublin Chamber of Commerce to long-term planning and development by creating a vision for a longer period. As a result of this experience, a vision until 2010 was developed in Ruse in 2002, which is the basis for building regional operational plans.
