Funded participation in the Smart Energy Week Autumn 2025 business mission

The Ruse Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) informs businesses in the region about the opportunity for funded participation in a business mission to Japan, organized by the EU Business Hub program. The mission, called Smart Energy Week Autumn 2025, will take place from 15 to 19 September 2025 in Tokyo and provides exceptional business opportunities for European companies in the renewable energy sector. It will allow 50 European small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), including start-ups, to visit Japan, attend the Smart Energy Week exhibition and expand their international presence and establish new strategic partnerships.

Target audience

  • European SMEs and start-ups involved in the renewable energy sector, including technologies such as:​
    • Hydrogen and fuel cells;
    • Solar energy;​
    • Rechargeable batteries;
    • Smart grids;
    • Wind energy;
    • Decarbonization;​
    • Circular economy.
  • Japanese buyers, distributors and R&D partners in the public and private sectors​
  • Japanese investors

Business Mission Program

The business mission in Tokyo will last a total of five days, as follows:

  • Day 1: Arrival in Tokyo, welcome, accommodation;
  • Day 2: Information session, training;
  • Day 3: Participation in the Smart Energy Week exhibition, networking and business meetings;
  • Day 4: Participation in the Smart Energy Week exhibition, networking and business meetings;
  • Day 5: Participation in the Smart Energy Week exhibition, networking and business meetings, closing session.

Services and benefits for EU participants

Selected participants will receive:

  • Business meetings: Pre-arranged personal meetings with carefully selected Japanese businesses.
  • Market information: Sector briefings providing information on market structure and opportunities.
  • Cultural and language support.
  • Financial support: Up to €1000 for additional personalized services co-financed by the project (e.g. interpretation, legal advice, etc.).
  • Accommodation: Coverage of expenses up to €1000 for four nights at The Manhattan Hotel in Makuhari.
  • Participation fee: Covering the fee for participation in Smart Energy Week.
