Conference "Support for young people with autism to gain independence"

Conference Support for young people with autism to gain independence

21 July, 2022 @ 16:30 17:30

Today, more and more young people with autism manage to find their fulfillment in the labor market. The conference, organized by RTIK, will promote initiatives through which people on the autism spectrum can join public life and discover their vocation.

Rousse Chamber of Commerce and Industry organizes a conference on "Support for young people with autism to gain independence", which will be held on July 21, 2022. from 16:00 in the Dunav Plaza building (conference hall, ground floor).

Social interaction and adaptation to the surrounding world are the main challenges that young people with autism face on a daily basis. Integration at school, interaction with classmates and teachers, leading an independent lifestyle, as well as finding a job are difficulties that can only be solved with a lot of effort and care from a family or specialist. During the conference, guest speakers will present different ways and initiatives to deal with these problems, and how different institutions can collaborate to support autistic youth and their parents in the struggle for their children's independence.

The event is open access and is implemented within a project "ACTIvE: Supporting Autistic Youth to Gain Independence", funded by the EU's Erasmus+ programme.
