Roundtable: Ruse Future City – a vision for AI infrastructure and new industrial ecosystems in Ruse

December 18 | 15:00 – 16:00
The Ruse Chamber of Commerce and Industry invites representatives of the leading business sectors in the region - industry, trade and transport – at a round table dedicated to the initiative Ruse Future City. The event will be held in Thursday, December 18, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. in RCCI’s conference hall and will present opportunities for the development of technological, energy and infrastructure solutions with applicability beyond the region.
Guest speaker

Natanail Stefanov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Sofia Tech Park
Natanail Stefanov is part of the management of Sofia Tech Park – the first science and technology park in Bulgaria. He is a co-founder of BESCO – Bulgarian Startup Association and has experience working on projects for international companies, startups, non-governmental organizations and public institutions, with a focus on the development and internationalization of the innovation environment.
What is the meeting about?
The initiative Ruse Future City examines Danube AI Data Center as an "anchor" for the development of interconnected ecosystems in four directions: energy, construction, education and AI, with the aim of turning decisions into intellectual property, spinoff companies and exportable models.
The key focus is on an approach where infrastructure serves as real environment for testing and proving solutions, and the value is accumulated through systematic solution of "difficult" problems and transforming them into knowledge, methodologies and IP with international applicability.
Main highlights from the presentation
- Not „just a data center“, and an ecosystem: the data center is a starting point for a self-reinforcing connection between energy, construction, education and AI.
- Energy innovations: integration of renewable energy, hydrogen and natural cooling (incl. via the Danube), with potential for developing algorithms, tools and methodologies.
- Construction innovations: modular approaches, sustainable materials and cooling structures; partnerships for the implementation of modern technologies and replicable processes.
- Education and AI: new curricula in AI, energy, robotics and sustainable engineering and learning models linked to real industrial cases.
- Effect on the region: jobs and development not only in "tech", but also in services, logistics, education, maintenance and urban environment; attracting and retaining talent.
Who is it suitable for?
- managers and owners of manufacturing companies and industrial groups;
- companies in construction, engineering and technical infrastructure;
- logistics, transport and service operators to the industry;
- ICT companies and firms with an interest in AI applications and data;
- organizations with the capacity to participate in pilots, demonstrations and partnership models.
Format
- Brief presentation of the concept and main directions
