Universal gear cutting machine operator

SL Industries Ltd, a leading supplier of high quality metal components and systems to industry, is seeking a qualified Universal gear cutting machine operator for its manufacturing operations. This position is part of our commitment to providing precision engineering solutions for leading original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in the industrial sector.

Main Responsibilities:

• Operation and adjustment of a universal gear cutting machine to manufacture various gears and parts to exact specifications;
• Reading and understanding of construction and technological documentation, related to the manufacture of components;
• Measurement and control of dimensions of manufactured parts using precision measuring instruments;
• Setup and correction of the machine parameters in order to achieve the desired accuracy and compliance with the technical requirements;
• Maintenance of machines and equipment, related to production and reporting of possible problems.

Job requirements:

• Secondary special education in the field of mechanical engineering, metalworking or another related discipline;
• Skill for reading technical documentation and drawings;
• Experience with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers and indicators for quality control;
• Previous experience in working with gear machines or similar metalworking machines;
• Organization and precision, as well as teamwork skills.
