Alpha Consult Bulgaria is looking for an experienced candidate for the position of "Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Manager" of a production enterprise on the territory of the city of Ruse.

Obligations:
- Plans, organizes and manages the processes related to the fulfillment of obligations in the field of environmental protection and ensuring healthy and safe working conditions;
- Responsible for the preparation and updating of plans, programs and reports related to the main subject of the company's activity, in their part concerning the implementation of the statutory provisions for environmental protection and ensuring healthy and safe working conditions;
- Responsible for all processes related to the organization and implementation of preventive measures, proposals for improvements and progress reporting. Participates in the creation and implementation of an integrated company policy for prevention in relation to the organization of work, technologies, workplaces and work equipment, binding all participants in the work activity. Participates in the organization of an effective system for managing health and safety at work and for protection from occupational risks and their prevention;
- Requires the introduction of facilities for collective protection and the provision of appropriate means of individual protection in cases where there is a risk that cannot be prevented;
- Responsible for relations and communication with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, RIOSV, Basin Directorate and other state bodies and institutions;
- Responsible for the overall activity and effective implementation of policies, procedures and standards for environmental protection and ensuring health and safety at work in the Company's sites and units;
- Responsible for the management and efficient spending of the budget;
- Responsible for the maintenance, updating and correct layout of all documents, reports and references on environmental protection, ensuring healthy and safe working conditions, according to the current regulations;
- Responsible for compliance with all regulated deadlines and obligations on the part of the Company in the field of environment and health and safety working conditions;
- Responsible for the introduction and organization of work in the Company's facilities, where employees and external contractors can carry out work processes without risk to their health and safety;
- Prepares proposals for optimization of activities and processes in the Company, investments directly related to the scope of the position. Participates in the preparation and drafting of assessments and opinions regarding compliance with safety and health requirements when working on projects, commissioning of production sites, technologies, workplaces, work equipment;
- Development and implementation of an innovative and engaging strategy towards employees and external subcontractors that aims for zero injuries and a high level of commitment to building a culture of health and safety at work. Participates in the occupational health and safety committee;
- Coordinates the activity of the occupational medicine service in the performance of its functions and tasks.
Requirements for applicants:
- Higher technical education - master's degree;
- Mandatory experience in a managerial position in production, related to the provision of OSH, Ecology;
- Additional qualification and experience in managing integrated quality, health and safety systems is considered an advantage;
- Proficiency in English - written and spoken;
- Skills for working with documents and regulations;
- Excellent computer skills (MS Office);
- Negotiation and decision-making skills, tact and persuasiveness;
- Organizational and coordination skills;
- Deadline, planning and forecasting skills;
- Loyalty, confidentiality, emotional stability.
