The government has determined the procedure for receiving compensation from workers in economic activities temporarily closed due to the pandemic

The Government adopted a Decree on determining the terms and conditions for the payment of compensation to those working in economic activities, whose activity has been temporarily suspended by an act of a state body during the period of the state of emergency or an extraordinary epidemic situation. Workers and employees will have the right to receive financial support for no more than 60 days in which they used unpaid leave in connection with the restrictions imposed to carry out the activity for which they were hired.

RTIK started work on the project "SMART VILLAGE - Development of rural tourism through circular economy and social innovations"

RTIK is part of the "SMART VILLAGE - Development of rural tourism through circular economy and social innovations" project, financed by the Erasmus+ program of the EU. The main objective of the project is to create a new educational curriculum to build new basic digital skills and competences for over 900 low-skilled adults affected by the COVID-19 pandemic crisis and more specifically for persons living in rural areas from at least 9 European local communities .

RDP intake to support short supply chains and local markets has started

As of November 2, 2020, the 2014-2020 Rural Development Program to support short supply chains and local markets is accepting applications. Sub-measure 16.4 "Support for horizontal and vertical cooperation between actors in the supply chain" is open for application for the second time this year. The total amount of the grant under the procedure is BGN 13,690,600.

The scope of the BBR guarantee program to support business is being expanded

Bulgarian Development Bank (BDB) prepared changes to the guarantee program to support small and medium-sized businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. They expand the scope of the government measure, allowing more companies from the sectors most affected by the pandemic to benefit from it. With the decision of the Court of Justice of 28.10.2020, the amount of loans guaranteed by BBR increases, which will now be able to reach BGN 2 million. The application deadline is extended by 6 months, until mid-June 2021. Among the eligible companies are already large enterprises that are registered as commercial companies in the country.
