The Turin Institute for the Deaf in Pianezza is an organization of ancient origins, founded in 1814, born to take care of the education of deaf children and to train their teachers. The Institute is a no-profit Foundation, , governed by a Foundation Council totally autonomous in the choice of direction of activities, within the scope of social solidarity provided for by the current Statute.
