The Ministry of Environment and Water (MoEW) is a Bulgarian government office with the rank of a ministry, responsible for the protection of the environment in Bulgaria. The role of the Ministry of Environment is to define national policies, develop strategies, prepare standards and set priorities for environmental protection.
Authorities: Rila National Park Directorate (central office: Blagoevgrad), Pirin National Park Directorate (central office: Bansko) and Central Balkan National Park Directorate (central office: Gabrovo).
The central administration of the Ministry is located in a building at 22 Maria Luiza Boulevard in Sofia.
