Your Local Guide project aims to include one of the most vulnerable public groups – pensioners and people over 65 years old – back into the economic life of the respective countries by helping them to actively participate in emerging activities in the field of tourism destination management.
Your Local Guide 36-month project funded by the Erasmus+ program, developed by a consortium of 6 partners from 5 EU countries. It aims to increase the digital competences of more than 400 adults with low digital skills willing to work as experts in the management and promotion of tourist destinations, understanding the business opportunities it brings and how to take advantage of it individually or in community.
The project will create new innovative approaches to teaching and learning in the form of research and collection of best practices, 4 manuals, a training kit, a video game as a training tool in the management and promotion of tourism destinations. The project platform will directly impact more than 400 people over the age of 65 who will increase their digital skills. The project also aims to have a long-term impact on more than 500 travel agencies in the respective countries.
