By the end of June, MIR opens two key measures for business: digitalization and energy efficiency

The Ministry of Innovation and Growth (MIR) plans to launch two procedures under the Enterprise Competitiveness and Innovation Program (ECIP) by the end of June 2025. They are aimed at digitalization and energy efficiency of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises and have a total budget of BGN 206 million.

1. Procedure BG16RFPR001-1.012 – Digitalization of enterprises

Target: To help micro and small enterprises reach readiness for the subsequent introduction of technologies in the field of Industry 4.0 through investments in modern ICT solutions.

Eligible candidates:

  • Micro and small enterprises registered until 31.12.2023
  • Net income ≥ 100,000 BGN total for 2023 and 2024
  • Average staff ≥ 2 people for 2024

Basic activities:

  • Introduction of ICT services and solutions for:

— digital marketing;

— ERP and CRM systems;

— production, logistics and warehouse management.

  • Improving cybersecurity and certification of information security management systems (ISO/IEC 27001);
  • Building online stores, data protection and archiving systems.

Financing:

  • Total budget: 80,000,000 BGN.
  • Grant: from 5,000 BGN to 50,000 BGN.
  • Aid intensity: up to 70% of total eligible costs

Application:
Project proposals will be submitted and evaluated entirely electronically via UNMIS (section "European funds under shared management 2021-2027").

2. Procedure BG16RFPR001-2.004 – Energy efficiency and use of energy from renewable sources in enterprises

Purpose: To support micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in their efforts to improve energy efficiency and use renewable energy sources, thus stimulating the transition to climate neutrality and environmental sustainability.

Eligible candidates:

  • Micro, small and medium-sized enterprises registered until 31.12.2022
  • Net income for the last financial year:

— Micro ≥ 100,000 BGN.

— Small ≥ 300,000 BGN.

— Medium ≥ 1,000,000 BGN.

Basic activities:

  • Acquisition of energy-efficient equipment and facilities, such as:

— heat pumps;

— waste heat recovery systems;

– energy-efficient insulation systems;

— photovoltaic panels;

— local energy storage facilities (batteries);

  • Other energy-efficient and renewable energy solutions aimed at reducing energy consumption and increasing sustainability.

Financing:

  • Total budget: 126,000,000 BGN.
  • Grant: from 30,000 BGN to 100,000 BGN.
  • Aid intensity: up to EUR 651 million of the total eligible costs.
