BCCI with a new 4-year mandate as a nationally representative employers' organization
The Ruse Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) is pleased to announce that the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) has once again received official recognition as a representative organization of employers at the national level with a 4-year mandate. This was done by Decision of the Council of Ministers No. 36 of 29.01.2025, promulgated in the State Gazette (issue 9 of 31.01.2025).
This status is not only a recognition of the active role of the BCCI in protecting the interests of business in Bulgaria, but also a guarantee of stability and consistency in the development of the economic environment in the country. The Chamber successfully passed the procedure for establishing representativeness, covering all regulatory requirements regulated in the Labor Code and the Regulation for determining the criteria for representativeness.
Among the key factors for establishing the BCCI as a leading employer organization are:
- Over 43,290 member companies with a total number of employees over 602 000, which exceeds more than 5 times the statutory minimum;
- 99 industry organizationswho have granted powers of attorney to the BCCI to represent them at the national level, covering 52 different sectors;
- 294 regional structures, ensuring presence and activity in all 265 municipalities in the country.
The long-standing partnership between RTIK and BCCI
As part of the national network of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Ruse Chamber of Commerce and Industry works in close cooperation with the BCCI, representing the interests of businesses in the region and creating opportunities for development, investment and innovation. Thanks to this strategic relationship, Ruse companies have access to a range of services, international partnerships, expert support and participation in key economic initiatives.
During the new 4-year mandate, the RTIC will continue to work actively with the BCCI to improve the business environment, protect employer interests, and develop national and international projects to support companies in the region.
