A Bulgarian business delegation visits China on the occasion of 75 years of diplomatic relations

The Ruse Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RTIK) has once again demonstrated its active participation in international initiatives by joining a representative delegation from Bulgaria, consisting of 25 managers and experts, for the third year in a row. The delegation will participate in a two-week training in China, which includes visits to important economic and industrial sites in the cities of Fuzhou, Xiamen and Beijing. The event was organized on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and China and is the result of the long-standing partnership between the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCI) and the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Sofia.

Official opening and presentation of RTIK

On August 30, 2024, the event was officially opened by Mr. Huang An, director of the Fujian Provincial International Economic Cooperation Center. Fujian Province, located in the southeast of China, is known for its advanced economic zones and strategically important ports that play a key role in the country's international trade. During the ceremony, Mrs. Stella Dionisieva, program and project expert at RTIK, presented the Ruse Chamber of Commerce and Industry and highlighted the investment opportunities in the Ruse region.

Attending the China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT)

The delegation will also have the opportunity to visit the China International Investment and Trade Fair (CIFIT) in the city of Xiamen, which will be held in the period 8-11 September 2024. Xiamen, located on the coast of the Taiwan Strait, is one of the most important ports cities of China and plays a significant role in international trade. CIFIT is one of the largest events in China aimed at promoting international investment and economic cooperation. Within the framework of the fair, various financial instruments, authoritative financial reports and opportunities for cooperation between international companies and Chinese partners will be presented.

Objectives of the delegation

The main purpose of the training and visits to China is to generate new ideas to promote bilateral economic cooperation, establish closer interaction between companies and exchange experience with related organizations. The delegation is expected to create new ties that will contribute to the development of economic relations between Bulgaria and China.

Future events

Next week, the delegation will take part in a joint event with the Embassy of Bulgaria in Beijing, where additional opportunities for cooperation and partnerships will be discussed. New initiatives to promote business contacts between Bulgarian and Chinese companies are expected to be presented at this event, focusing on strategic sectors such as technology, green energy and infrastructure.

The Rousse Chamber of Commerce and Industry continues to support its members in expanding their international contacts and in establishing successful partnerships around the world. Participation in such delegations and international events is part of the Chamber's long-term strategy to increase the competitiveness of regional business and to create sustainable ties with leading economies such as China.
