"Factory of the Year 2024" Contest: Don’t Miss the October 15 Deadline

The Ruse Chamber of Commerce and Industry reminds all manufacturing enterprises that they still have two weeks to submit their applications for participation in the third edition of the "Factory of the Year" contest, organized by "Capital". The aim of the initiative is to recognize the most innovative and sustainable manufacturing companies in Bulgaria. The deadline for submissions is October 15, 2024, and the winner will be announced at an official ceremony on December 5, 2024.

What Is the Contest?

The "Factory of the Year" competition was created to support the country's industrial sector by distinguishing enterprises that apply innovative technologies, sustainable solutions and high production standards. The initiative targets companies that demonstrate progress in technology and sustainable development, while maintaining high standards of corporate responsibility (ESG).

Who Can Participate?

Manufacturing companies from all over the country can enter the competition as long as they meet the following criteria:

• A minimum of three completed financial years;
• At least 10 employees;
• Turnover of at least 2.5 million BGN for 2023

Companies can apply by completing a questionnaire developed in partnership with TrakiaTech, Novarto and LSEG. Applicants will be evaluated based on three sets of criteria: financial, technological and ESG. Finalists will be interviewed online, after which a competent jury will select the winner.

What Are the Benefits of Participating?

Winning the Factory of the Year title gives companies prestige and recognition for their innovation and sustainability. In addition, the competition distinguishes the most innovative projects implemented by Bulgarian teams, giving companies the opportunity to present their achievements to a wide audience.

History of The Contest

The Factory of the Year competition starts in 2022. as part of the "Capital" initiative - "Industry 4.0". The first edition attracted 24 companies, and "Schneider Electric Bulgaria" was awarded as the first winner. In 2023 the "Factory of the Year" title was awarded to "Sensata Technologies" in Botevgrad, and the Ruse-based "WITTE Automotive Bulgaria" received the award for the most innovative project.
