Upcoming business missions under the EU Business Hub program - Japan and the Republic of Korea
Small and medium-sized enterprises from the EU have the opportunity to participate in upcoming business missions according to the program EU-Japan and Republic of Korea Business Hub.The initiative, funded by the European Union, supports companies in the sectors ecology, digitalization and healthcare to expand their activities in the markets in Japan and the Republic of Korea.
Business opportunities
The program organizes business missions, which provide the 50 innovative companies access to key international partners, training, on-site visits and participation in global exhibitions.
Upcoming business missions
- Smart Energy Week Autumn 2025 – Japan (15 – 19 September 2025): The mission is suitable for European SMEs and start-ups in the renewable energy sector, including technologies such as: Hydrogen and fuel cells, solar energy, batteries, smart grids, wind energy, CCUS (carbon capture, utilization and storage), decarbonization, circular economy;
- Semicon Japan 2025 – Japan (December 15 – 19, 2025): The mission is aimed at companies operating in the field of semiconductor technologies, including: Components (e.g. connectors, pumps, cables, sensors, etc.), manufacturing equipment, inspection equipment, metalworking, cutting, coatings and surface treatment.
- Digital Solutions Korea 2026 – South Korea (February 16 – 20, 2026) – The mission is suitable for innovators in the field of digital technologies, artificial intelligence and automation.

Information Day – April 16, 2025
To learn more about program opportunities and upcoming business missions, join the information event on April 16, 2025 at 3:00 p.m., which will be held in hybrid format – present in the building of The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Sofia, 9 Iskar Str., 1st floor, hall B) and online on the Zoom platform.During the event, details regarding application requirements, eligibility criteria, as well as specific preparation tips will be presented. Participation is free, but it is necessary advance registration until 14.04.2025.
