ACCELERATE: Support for innovative manufacturing companies in Europe
The initiative Accelerate on EIT Manufacturing supports start-ups and growth companies in the manufacturing sector, focusing on innovation, sustainability and the implementation of new technologies. Through this call, EIT Manufacturing promotes projects that can transform industries and promote more sustainable production, responding to the contemporary challenges and requirements of the European Green Deal and the digital transition.
Main objectives of Accelerate
The Accelerate program aims to provide financial and expert support to enterprises that develop new solutions in key areas such as automation, digitalization, circular economy and sustainable production. EIT Manufacturing aims to create an enabling environment for innovative enterprises by supporting projects that have the potential to improve efficiency, reduce the environmental footprint and strengthen the competitiveness of European industry.
The call is aimed at companies that focus on creating innovative products and technologies in various industrial sectors. Particular attention is paid to companies that work in the fields of artificial intelligence, robotics, quantum computing and solutions for efficient use of energy. This program aims to boost new technologies and methodologies that can accelerate the transition to smart and sustainable manufacturing in Europe.
Financial and expert support
The financial support that Accelerate 2024 provides can vary between 50,000 and 500,000 euros and is intended to support the development, testing and implementation of innovative solutions that are in line with the EU's strategic objectives. In addition to financial support, the program provides access to a network of industry experts, partners and advisors who can help companies build a sustainable business model and expand their market presence.
Who can apply?
The call for applications to the Accelerate program is open to startups with solutions at Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 6 or higher, currently raising funds or preferably already in an ongoing funding round with the following characteristics:
- To be private companies with at least two team members and headquartered in each member state of the European Union and in each country associated with the Horizon Europe program;
- Develop new products/services/solutions for customers in the manufacturing sector and have a business-to-business (B2B) business model;
- Have an innovative product/service contributing to at least one of EIT Manufacturing's strategic objectives, thematic areas and priority technologies;
- Have appropriate business and technical experience in the team;
- To demonstrate good business planning.
How to apply?
To apply, you need to submit your project, presenting a clear description of the innovative idea and how it can contribute to the sustainable development of production. Applicants may submit their applications at any time before the following remaining closing dates:
- 16 December 2024, 17:00 CEST
- 19 February 2025, 17:00 CEST
- 21 April 2025, 17:00 CEST
