The project aims to support students in upper secondary and higher vocational education and training schools to acquire entrepreneurial spirit and skills during their internship in a company. To realize this goal, the project will develop:
(i) internship model to develop entrepreneurial spirit and skills;
(ii) a guide for trainers to support the implementation of the apprenticeship model and will support (ii) the establishment of VET – business partnerships.
The project addresses the following priorities from the Erasmus+ programme:
HORIZONTAL: The achievement of necessary and high-quality skills and competences. The project aims to develop an internship model for the development of entrepreneurial skills, which is one of the eight key competences in lifelong learning.
VET: VET development – business partnerships aim to promote lifelong learning in all its forms. App.Mod.E supports the development of vocational education and training partnerships to promote apprenticeships. The project formed a network of VET providers and companies, developed a quality assurance framework, a model Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation between VET providers and companies and a handbook "VET - Company Internship Partnerships". These activities will be framed by a promotional campaign for VET providers and companies, including the development of an information pack for SMEs, participation in the European Vocational Skills Week and other activities targeting SMEs.
VET: Introducing systematic approaches and opportunities for initial and ongoing professional development of VET teachers, trainers and mentors, both in school and work settings. The project will develop a handbook for trainers to implement the apprenticeship model for building entrepreneurial spirit and skills and organize workshops aimed at trainers from VET providers and companies involved in the planning, organisation, monitoring and follow-up of apprenticeships.
