Within 4 consecutive weeks, students from the 11B and 11G classes of AEG "Geo Milev" had the opportunity to go through the financial literacy training program for a project FINMAN. The project, financed under the Erasmus + program, is an international undertaking coordinated by the Ruse Chamber of Commerce and Industry and gathers the expertise of 8 organizations from 7 European countries.
The young people not only got acquainted with the project materials and the online training platform, but also had the opportunity to meet financial and banking experts, as well as hear interesting and useful information directly from the specialists. Brief lectures on specific financial topics were given by:
- Margarit Vutov – Regional Manager for North-Eastern Bulgaria and manager of First Investment Bank, Ruse branch
- Kamen Kanev - manager "Sales of savings and investment products", department "Assisting the sales of savings and investment products" at the United Bulgarian Bank
- Svetoslav Minchev - marketing expert at BIC "Innobridge" and former "Corporate Customer Service" specialist at the United Bulgarian Bank
- Desislava Dimitrova - Expert "European programs and projects" at RTIK
During the training, the students tested the online platform and got acquainted with all 8 modules of the FINMAN project, paying more attention to the topics "Loans and mortgages", "Savings and investments", "Online banking", "Personal and business budgeting ". For their part, the project coordinators received valuable information about what young people are interested in and how they see financial culture as an object of education.
