Europe's ambitions to become the first climate-neutral continent by 2050 require companies in the future to start applying many different approaches to actually reduce their carbon footprint. The plan is to reduce greenhouse gas production by at least 50% compared to 1990 levels. A review of the legislative framework has been launched and new legislation related to the circular economy, reducing the consumption of buildings, biodiversity, agriculture and innovation has begun. From reducing dependence on fossil fuels, through financial support for enterprises to implement new green technologies, to the provisions of the CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive), which came into force in January 2023. and will apply to all businesses large and small and the following. All these changes cannot happen without the active role of the human factor - specialists, managers, owners and ordinary employees. Each one of them involved in the process can be called an "ambassador of green change"

These and many other topics were the focus of the training for trainers, in which experts from the RCCI team participated. Within three days (30.01-01.02.2024), specialists from the Norwegian partner Prios Kompetanse AS presented us with the steps, stages and overall strategic approach that a "green change agent" must deploy to initiate and achieve a real result , aimed at real enterprise change. Together we went through the entire process from drafting the strategic framework, through governance and risks, to overcoming resistance to change. This has given us a new perspective on our commitment to prepare future change agents in enterprises. We are about to present it to the Ruse companies in special training, with which we can help shape and implement changes aimed at the green transition in their activities.

The Green Change Agents project is funded by the Business Development, Innovation and Small and Medium Enterprises program through the Norwegian Financial Mechanism (Norway Grants) 2014-2021 and aims to support those who face the challenge of being bearers of the green transition in their work.
