Meeting between Ruse University "Angel Kanchev" and GG Group, organized with the assistance of the Ruse Chamber of Commerce and Industry
On November 6, 2025, with the assistance of the Ruse Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI), a working meeting was held between the management of the University of Ruse "Angel Kanchev" and representatives of GG Group - a high-tech company, part of an international industrial group specializing in the production of cables and wires for the automotive industry.
The company, which is a member of RTIK, was represented by Mr. Paul-Bogdan Urenyuk – plant manager, and Mr. Dan Tagorean – chief production manager. The University of Ruse was represented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Desislava Atanasova – rector of the university, and Prof. Georgi Hristov – director of the Center for Information and Computer Services. The Ruse Chamber of Commerce and Industry was represented by its executive director Mr. Milen Dobrev.
The main focus of the meeting was the opportunities for building sustainable partnerships between the university, local business and employer organizations in order to better prepare specialists in engineering and technical fields. The training programs, the applicability of theoretical knowledge in a real production environment, as well as specific models for interaction between the three organizations were discussed.
Representatives of GG Group expressed interest in actively participating in the process of shaping the curricula in both higher education and vocational high schools in Ruse. Among the topics discussed were the possibilities for implementing practical programs, internships and developing dual training, which would allow young people to gain real experience during their education.
An important role in the implementation of this meeting and in the overall process of building a bridge between education and business is played by the Ruse Chamber of Commerce and Industry. For more than 130 years, the organization has been supporting the development of the local economy by connecting companies, institutions and educational organizations in common initiatives. Through such meetings and partnerships, the Ruse Chamber of Commerce and Industry contributes to a better understanding of the needs of the labor market, encourages the introduction of innovations and supports the construction of a sustainable ecosystem for the development of human capital in the region.
The meeting ended with an agreement to continue the dialogue and take concrete next steps to create a long-term partnership. All participants agreed that the successful development model for a region like Ruse is based precisely on close cooperation between industry, education and the organizations that unite them.
