Rousse Chamber of Commerce and Industry officially launched the DESIRE project
Under the leadership of RTIK, 8 organizations from 6 European countries started work on the DESIRE (Digital Education for Social Innovation Reframed Entrepreneurship) project. The Ruse organization also hosted the first meeting between the partners, where the foundations of the future work of the consortium were laid.
On October 21 and 22, the first tasks on the agenda were discussed in Ruse, namely, the launch of an international study, which will aim to provide more information about the needs of the project.
Project DESIRE has a duration of 24 months and aims to exploit the skills and competences of the social economy by inviting schools, teachers and students to think more creatively and innovatively about the possibilities to solve societal problems around them by turning entrepreneurial ideas into actions. This will be achieved through the creation of innovative educational materials and an online learning platform through which youth between the ages of 12 and 15 will be able to gain the necessary knowledge on the subject.
The next project meeting is scheduled to take place in April 2020 in Milan, Italy.
The DESIRE project is financed under the Erasmus+ program of the European Commission. The project is implemented by a consortium made up of business organizations, educational institutions and centers, headed by the Ruse Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Bulgaria), and the partners EUROCREA MERCHANT (Italy), Babele Create Together SRLBabele Create Together SRL (Romania), PChSOU "Leonardo da Vinci” (Rousse, Bulgaria), Institut Gabriel Ferrrater i SolerInstitut Gabriel Ferrrater i Soler (Spain), Associacio Programes Educatius Open Europe (Spain), IDEC (Greece) and Emphasys Interactive Solutions Ltd (Cyprus).
