Gebauer & Griller Group invests BGN 60 million in a factory for automotive components in Ruse

The Austrian company Gebauer & Griller Group (GG Group) announced plans for an investment of BGN 60 million in a new factory for automotive components in Ruse. The project will provide around 400 new jobs, strengthening the local economy and maintaining Ruse's tradition as an industrial center.

The new plant will focus on the production of electric vehicle products, including HV wiring harnesses for well-known European car manufacturers. Over time, the range of manufactured products will expand. GG Group emphasized that it plans to produce in Ruse high-tech components for electric cars of a Bavarian car concern.

The 13,000 m² plant will start operations with around 100 employees, with construction starting this year. The site is scheduled to be completed and pre-series production to start in the summer of 2024, with series production starting in the summer of 2025.

"In the long term, we plan to invest 29 million euros in this location over the next 5 years and to gradually increase the number of directly employed to around 400, as well as around 100 indirect employees," commented GG Group CEO Arno Hasselhorst.

GG Group acknowledged that the new investment meets customers' need for additional production capacity in an "economically attractive and politically stable region". The company was impressed by the favorable geographical location of Ruse, the economic and demographic advantages of the city, as well as the possibility of further expansion of the plant.

The CEO of GG Group, Mr. Hasselhorst, and the company's vice president, Dr. Matthias Hornemann, met with the Minister of Economy and Industry, Bogdan Bogdanov. He emphasized that the automotive industry is one of the fastest growing in the country and is a priority sector for attracting investments.
