Accelerating business with ICT: What technologies can help businesses in Ruse?
Following global trends, enterprises in Ruse, like those in the rest of the country, are trying to adapt information and communication technologies (ICT) in their daily activities, albeit at a different pace. In light of these dynamics, The Rousse Chamber of Commerce and Industry plays a key role as an organization supporting the technological transformation of businesses in the region.
Our analysis shows several technologies that have the potential to help businesses in Ruse improve their competitiveness and optimize their productivity. These technologies have been selected in view of the specific needs and advantages of the region, taking into account data from the National Statistical Institute and the investment profile of the Municipality.
The first technology we would like to highlight is "the cloud". Cloud services provide flexibility, scalability and efficiency, making them suitable for businesses of all sizes. According to NSI, however, only 12.8% of Bulgarian enterprises currently use paid cloud services, which means that there is significant potential for growth and development in this area.
The second technology that deserves attention is "big data" or big data analysis. This type of analysis can provide businesses with valuable insights into their business, markets and consumers, but only 6.3% of Bulgarian businesses currently use this technology.
The third technology is Internet of Things (IoT), which enables the connection of devices and systems and can be used in multiple industries, including transport, manufacturing and the agricultural sector. Currently, only 15.0% of Bulgarian enterprises use IoT technologies.
Finally, we would like to emphasize the importance of continuous training and development of ICT skills. Currently, only 9.1% of the enterprises in Bulgaria provide such training, which emphasizes the need for additional efforts in this direction.
The Rousse Chamber of Commerce and Industry is committed to supporting local businesses in this transformation. The Chamber offers seminars, trainings and consultations in the field of ICT, thus helping enterprises to adapt to the new technological reality. For us, helping enterprises in Ruse to master the new ICT is a strategic goal that can lead to a strengthening of the local economy and greater competitiveness on the global market.
