Possibility of establishing cooperation with partners from Pakistan
BCCI organized a working meeting with the temporary manager of the embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Sofia.
The Chairman of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Tsvetan Simeonov held a working meeting in Sofia with the temporary manager of the embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Marwan Alex Ayyash.
The purpose of the working meeting was to discuss the results of the Second Session of the Bulgarian-Pakistani Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation, held in the period May 20-21, 2019 in the city of Islamabad.
The invitation sent to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Pakistan by the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Pakistan for a visit with a business delegation in the second half of 2019 was also discussed. The purpose of the visit is to sign a Memorandum of Understanding for the establishment of a Joint Bulgarian-Pakistani Business Council and its implementation constituent session.
Marwan Ayyash identified the following sectors as developed in Pakistan: agriculture - mango and rice production, textile industry, pharmacy and surgical instruments, sports goods and equipment, information technology, leather goods production, handmade souvenirs, etc.
The idea of creating a trade base was discussed, the aim being to use Bulgaria's favorable geographical position as the closest EU member by land to Pakistan to strengthen the Asian country's trade exchange with Europe.
