Project REFRESH aims to increase interest in science and promote the latest scientific achievements in over 300 cities in Europe. The project is financed by the European Commission for Marie Sklodowska-Curie activities under the Horizon 2020 program. The European Night of Scientists is celebrated annually in Ruse, and the regional organization of the initiative is the Ruse Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Main objectives of the project:
- Increasing public awareness and interest in educational pathways, research and innovation;
- Contributes to overcoming negative stereotypes of researchers and reveals them as accessible, creative, public and supportive members of society;
- Improving citizens' access to research results and their understanding of the impact of science on all aspects of their lives;
- Enhancing the communication skills of active researchers, innovators and entrepreneurs and stimulating their appetite to engage with diverse groups of lay audiences, nurturing children's curiosity.
