Through sport, we have the power to change lives. The project of adidas Breaking Barriers is a commitment to breaking down barriers for women and girls across Europe by working directly with sports non-profits, empowering local leaders and coaches and giving the sports industry the tools it needs to drive change.
As part of this commitment, we are proud to announce the launch of an exciting program for innovative European startups: adidas Breaking Barriers Innovation Lab organized by Paris&Co Sports Innovation Platform. They deeply believe that sport can be more accessible, inclusive and safer for women and girls. This lab aims to identify and support initiatives that will give women and girls better access to the benefits of sport and enable them to reach their potential and succeed in all areas of life. Organizers bring this core belief to the Innovation Lab, whose vision is to identify and support initiatives that will give women and girls better access to the benefits of sport and enable them to reach their potential and succeed in all areas of life .
How can organizations such as startups get support through the Innovation Lab?
Through funding, networking and development programs, the Innovation Lab aims to support projects, foster the collective energy of innovators and unite sports business:
- Through digital and physical environments, meet key players and experts in the sport and access launch-specific training from OpenMind and receive support from an adidas advisor.
- Joining this incubation program gives access to specific tools to develop a project in a community of like-minded innovators passionate about gender equality in sport.
- The support package also offers a grant funded by adidas (up to €10,000) and an option to stay at the Paris&Co sports platform in Paris.
