The US Embassies in Bulgaria and Romania hosted a business meeting to promote partnerships and investment opportunities with the US

Earlier today, the trade missions at the US embassies in Bulgaria and Romania, with the assistance of the Municipality of Ruse, the Ruse Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Bulgarian-Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, held a successful business meeting on the topic "Partnership with the Trade Departments of the US Embassies in Sofia and Bucharest" and presented the "US Government SelectUSA Foreign Investment Assistance Program" and the upcoming "SelectUSA Investment Summit 2023" to be held in May 2023.

The event was attended by business owners, entrepreneurs and representatives of various organizations interested in exploring potential partnerships and investment opportunities with the US. The program of the event included presentations by key speakers in the industry.

The opening of the round table was conducted by Mrs. Zlatomyra Stefanova, Deputy Mayor of Ruse Municipality, Mr. Milen Dobrev, Executive Director of the Ruse Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Mrs. Eleonora Ivanova, Executive Director of the Bulgarian-Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Mr. Peter Delin and Mrs. Emilia Taneva, Trade Counselors, represented the Trade Department of the US Embassy in Bulgaria. Ms. Melissa Marsalek, Commercial Attaché at the US Embassy in Sofia, presented the SelectUSA program and the SelectUSA Investment Summit 2023. Ms. Laura Jimenez, Commercial Attaché at the US Embassy in Bucharest, and Ms. Monica Eremia, Commercial Counselor, presented the Commercial Department of the US Embassy in Romania.

Mr. Ivaylo Marinov, counselor at the Embassy of Bulgaria in Romania and head of the Office for Trade and Economic Affairs in Bucharest, presented additional opportunities for partnership. The event also included a coffee break during which attendees had the opportunity to engage in discussions, ask questions and receive answers.
