Micro- and small enterprises will be able to apply for grants

The managing body of the Operational Program "Innovations and Competitiveness" 2014-2020 (OPIC MA) plans to announce on May 11, 2020 a procedure for the selection of projects "Supporting micro and small enterprises to overcome the economic consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic ".

The total amount of the grant is BGN 173 million and covers all sectors of the Bulgarian economy (except for those supported by the Program for the Development of Rural Areas). Enterprises that registered a drop of at least 20% in their turnover for the month of April 2020 compared to the average monthly turnover for 2019, will have the opportunity to receive amounts from BGN 3,000 to BGN 10,000. With them, they will be able to cover their most urgent needs, such as rent, consumables, raw materials, salary expenses and other working capital expenses.

The application will be made entirely electronically through the ISUN 2020 system with a maximally simplified administrative procedure. It will only be necessary to fill in basic data, the amount of the requested financing, as well as the company bank account and declaration of data. All checks will be carried out by the OPIC MA on an official basis.

When applying, a valid Qualified Electronic Signature (KEP) of the representative or a person authorized by him with an express written power of attorney will be required, as well as a submitted Annual Tax Declaration for 2019 before the National Revenue Agency, in accordance with the provisions of ZKPO/ZDDFL.

For the purpose of greater awareness, before the announcement of the procedure, Instructions and video explanations for filling in the application form and submitting the project proposals will be published.
