Strengthening business bridges between Bulgaria and China: The delegation led by RTIK continues its successful mission

The Bulgarian delegation, led by the executive director of the Ruse Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Milen Dobrev, continues to take part in key economic and trade events in China, with the aim of strengthening business ties between the two countries.

On July 4, the delegation participated in China (Ningbo) – The Bulgarian Economic and Trade Forum for Cooperation, where he met with Chinese entrepreneurs and government representatives specializing in bilateral economic and trade cooperation. The next item on the agenda was a visit to the permanent pavilion of Central and Eastern Europe (CEE).

Several Bulgarian companies whose products are aimed at the Chinese market were presented in the Bulgarian pavilion. Ms. Sandy Bian, Project Manager of Economic and Trade Cooperation Department of Ningbo CEE Expo Promotion Center, offered the opportunity to introduce more companies upon interest from our members.

Mr. Dobrev also met with Mrs. Ivet Nikolova, commercial advisor at the Consulate General of the Republic of Bulgaria in Shanghai. Mr. Xu Guang Xiang, the Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Ningbo Committee, invited Mr. Dobrev to a tea ceremony during which they discussed next steps to promote trade links.

The visit also included a presentation of Ningbo port, which is the third largest in China by number of containers and one of the largest in the world by total cargo tonnage handled. The free zones in the province were also presented, which offer numerous opportunities for expanding business networks.

This visit highlights the importance and ambition of our mission to strengthen economic and trade ties between Bulgaria and China. The Rousse Chamber of Commerce and Industry is extremely grateful to all the participants who helped make this important dialogue happen.
