A large-scale Chinese exhibition with the ambition to boost the textile industry in the region

The Romanian capital Bucharest will host a large-scale exhibition in the field of the textile industry, which aims to promote economic and trade relations between the countries of Central and Eastern Europe and China. The Romanian-Chinese initiative was presented today in Ruse to representatives of businesses and employer organizations from the region. The exhibition will take place between 31 May and 2 June 2019, with ambitions to become an annual event.

There will be 150 stands where European and Chinese manufacturers and suppliers will be able to display their products and at the same time start business partnerships and collaborations. The second step of the initiative will be the establishment of a permanent showroom in the Romanian county of Ilfov.

The motives of the organizers are that the textile business in the region is currently experiencing difficulties in terms of the supply of raw materials, materials and accessories. As a result of this, work is also being done on the third step of the project - the creation of a warehouse hub in the Free Zone - Gyurgevo, which will be a meeting point for manufacturers, suppliers and traders. According to the organizers, this will give many opportunities not only to Romanian manufacturers and traders, but also to their Bulgarian colleagues to open new markets or benefit from the products of the Chinese industry.
