A virtual hackathon will seek ideas and solutions for sustainable tourism after the COVID-19 crisis

Ruse Chamber of Commerce and Industry invites all interested parties to join CAST - Virtual hackathon for solutions for sustainable tourism after COVID 19>, which will be held electronically in the period July 1-3, 2020. Participation is free, and requires electronic registration until 29 June.

The main objective of the event is to create a framework for providing innovative solutions to the challenges related to the tourism sector, which will be realized through two challenges:

  • Challenge 1: Business continuity in the tourism sector - new ideas for products and services to enable the successful and efficient functioning of the tourism sector in the context of a global pandemic and the still ongoing COVID-19
  • Challenge 2: New sustainable business models – rethinking current business models and identifying new ideas, delivering and capturing tourism-related value.

The event will be held in English and will give participating teams the opportunity to develop or further develop an already existing idea under the guidance of highly qualified mentors. The best ideas will compete for a prize in the form of free consulting business services, free access to the incubation program and participation in the EBN (European Network of Business Innovation Centers, of which RTIC is a partner) international congress in 2021.
