The ambassador of Ireland got acquainted with the economic and business prospects in Rousse

Today, June 23, Ruse Chamber of Commerce and Industry welcomed the Ambassador of the Republic of Ireland to Bulgaria - H.E. Michael Forbes. He met with the executive director of the Chamber, Milen Dobrev, with whom they discussed opportunities and ideas for business cooperation.

During the meeting, Mr. Dobrev introduced the diplomat to the main economic characteristics of the city and the region, the most important industrial and commercial branches, logistics opportunities and prospects for trade and joint business. He drew attention to the 130-year history of the Chamber and the role it played in the development of Ruse after Liberation.

For his part, H.E. Forbes showed interest in the geographical location of the city, and the opportunities it provides for the needs of logistics and transport. He also drew attention to the strong connectivity of the region with neighboring Romania, and the capital Bucharest in particular. Along with business prospects, the ambassador showed interest in various spheres of public life, such as education and demographic problems and the ways in which Ruse deals with them. 

H.E. Forbes was impressed by the positivity of the Chamber's team, and shared that if he could recommend one of the Bulgarian chambers to Irish business, it would certainly be the Ruse Chamber.
