RTIK became a co-founder of the international Association of Danube Chambers of Commerce

On September 23, the "Danube Chambers of Commerce Association (DCCA)" was officially formed in Bucharest - an event in which there was a pronounced Russian participation. The Rousse Chamber of Commerce and Industry was one of the founders of the Association, which includes organizations from Austria, Germany, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria and Turkey.

RTIK has made a serious contribution to the development of the international organization, where it has taken an active part since the first days of the existence of the idea, which arose almost 10 years ago. During the founding meeting, the executive director of RTIK, Milen Dobrev, was elected a member of the Association's Supervisory Board, which is also a kind of recognition for the Ruse organization, which was the first in Bulgaria to be included in the structure of the Danube Chambers.

During the meeting, the guidelines for the activity were outlined, fully following the model of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region. Concrete concepts for the implementation of international projects for the development of the economy in this global region were discussed.

The next DCCA General Assembly will be held in 2020 in Istanbul, Turkey at the invitation of the Istanbul Chamber.

The Association of Danube Chambers of Commerce emerged as an informal organization in 2010, with the idea of supporting the regions of the Danube countries in identifying new opportunities for cooperation, facilitating business contacts and constant exchange of information and good practices. One of the main goals of the Association is to reduce the significant differences in the economic development of the Danube regions, and of the countries as a whole, in accordance with the priorities of the Danube Strategy.
