RCCI Strengthens Its Positions at The Largest Innovation Forum – EBN Congress 2025

The Executive Director of the Ruse Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI), Milen Dobrev, took an active part in the EBN Congress 2025, which took place from June 18 to 20 in the city of Baracaldo, Spain. The event brought together over 300 participants from more than 175 leading innovation organizations from across Europe and the world, including 96 officially accredited EU|BIC centers from 37 countries.

EBN Congress is the largest event in Europe dedicated to the development of innovation ecosystems and partnerships between business incubators, accelerators and innovation hubs. This year's edition focused on the key topics of the green transition, circular economy, renewable energy and sustainable development, as part of the broader goals of the European Green Deal and the Industry 5.0 initiative.

Within the framework of the congress, Milen Dobrev was re-elected for a new three-year term as a member of the board of directors of EBN (European Business and Innovation Centre Network), where he has been actively involved since 2013. This position allows the EBN to be part of making strategic decisions to promote innovation, develop the entrepreneurial environment and build international partnerships.

The event featured keynote lectures and panel discussions featuring prominent experts such as former Siemens Gamesa CEO Jochen Eickholt, EBN CEO Laura Lecci, and a host of leaders from the academic and business community. Of particular interest were specialized workshops and sessions related to digital innovation, the role of artificial intelligence in the energy transition, sustainable mobility, industrial decarbonization, and the future of the circular economy.

Among the most significant moments was the EU|BIC Excellence Awards 2025: Green Transition ceremony, which honored the most successful incubation and acceleration programs in support of the green transition in Europe.

The participation of RCCI in EBN Congress 2025 reinforces the Chamber's commitment to innovation and green business transformation, as well as strengthens Ruse's position as an important center for international cooperation and sustainable development.

The Ruse Chamber of Commerce and Industry continues to actively support the local business community in its efforts to integrate best international practices and be a driver of innovation in the region.
