In a significant event for the Ruse Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) and the business community in Ruse, we had the honor and pleasure to welcome H.E. Mr. Sanjay Rana, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to Bulgaria, on 02 February 2024. The visit took place against the backdrop of the opening of the exhibition "Ahimsa", inspired by Mahatma Gandhi's principles of non-violence and presenting the works of famous artists.
Mr. Rana, who arrived in Sofia in March 2021 and has been a member of the Indian Foreign Service since 1996, has extensive diplomatic experience, including as Chief of the United Nations Policy Department and Ambassador of India to the Republic of Azerbaijan. His visit highlighted the strong and old friendly ties and close relations between India and Bulgaria.
During the meeting with RCCI Executive Director, Mr. Milen Dobrev, issues of mutual interest were discussed, including attracting investors from India in the manufacturing sectors and planning a business delegation to include business representatives from India. RCCI will play a key role in coordinating this initiative, thereby strengthening trade and investment ties between the two countries.
Additionally, a visit to India for the exchange of experience was discussed, aimed at improving the understanding of the Indian business environment by Bulgarian entrepreneurs. Such initiatives are extremely important for expanding business horizons and creating new opportunities for cooperation.
The Ruse Chamber of Commerce and Industry is dedicated to strengthening international trade relations and believes that the relations between Bulgaria and India carry significant potential for development. Mr. Rana's visit underscores the importance of these relations and opens the way for new opportunities for business and cultural exchange.
RCCI remains committed to supporting its members in exploring new markets and expanding the international presence of Bulgarian business. We are grateful to H.E. Mr. Sanjay Rana for his visit and we look forward to continued dialogue and cooperation for mutual benefit.
