The future of tourism and the new digital realities were discussed in an online discussion organized by RTIK

Over 30 participants from various spheres of business and public life joined the online discussion on the topic "Digital skills in tourism - future or necessity", organized by the Ruse Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Our interlocutors were Daniela Yordanova - teacher at the University of Ruse, Yordan Adolfov - teacher at the Vocational High School of Tourism in Ruse, and Milen Gerasimov - manager of the tourist agency "MG Travel". They discussed the various challenges and prospects for tourism not only in the Ruse region, but also at the national level, in the context of new technologies, the global pandemic and new business models.

Attendees of the event who showed interest in the introduction of new mobile technologies in the field of tourism, how business can be involved in their development, the role of local traditions and customs in the promotion of tourist destinations, and how they can be used to target specific groups of tourists.

The event is organized in connection with the completion of the Your Local Guide project, in which the Rousse Chamber of Commerce and Industry is a partner. Within the framework of the project, training materials were developed to support the digital skills of people employed in tourism, as well as beginners or future entrepreneurs in this sector.
