Automation and Programming Engineer – SCADA and MES

Responsibilities

The successful candidate for this position will design and develop software applications for SCADA, MES, EMS and IIoT and process automation. The work will include everything from concept to development, integration, testing and implementation of such systems. For the development of industrial control systems, you will use the platform Ignition by Inductive Automation. This is the most innovative and powerful platform for developing industrial applications at the moment. The designed applications must be manageable, scalable, reliable and secure. You will be part of a dynamic and creative team of specialists.

Candidates must have excellent experience working in a team environment, completing tasks and projects on time, on budget and with high quality.

Basic requirements

We are looking for an engineer who combines a solid technical background with the ability to function well in a progressive, flexible and multidisciplinary environment. You must be well organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to convey technical information to both internal staff and external clients. It is important that you work well both independently and as part of a team.

Specific requirements for this role include:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and/or Engineering major focused on industrial automation.
• Experience in developing industrial control systems
• Understanding and good knowledge of databases
• English language proficiency C1 level
• Driver's license - category B

What are you going to do?

• Development of industrial software applications such as SCADA, MES, EMS and IIoT on the Ignition platform
• Technological studies
• Development of new system concepts
• General process improvements
• During project launch, it will be necessary to travel and work on-site at clients' locations
• As we are a system integrator of important automation systems, in the event of a system emergency you may be required to work outside of your normal schedule/work duties

Optional but preferred qualifications

• Understand and interpret network diagrams, firewall rules, ports, and services
• Experience with communication networks
• Experience in PLC programming
• Experience with CodeSys based PLCs
